Acerca de los docentes:
Hilary Gamble has been hailed as a rising star performer, touring as a chamber musician and soloist throughout the Americas, Asia, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. She is currently Assistant Principal in Viola with the Orquesta Estable de Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was recently Assistant Principal with the Orquesta Filarmonica de Santiago de Chile, and Adjunct Faculty in Viola at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, (USA).
Ms. Gamble’s performance experiences include the Starling Honors String Quartet, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Broadway’s Next to Normal. She was Principal Viola with the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, Teatro Del Lago Internacional Academia (Frutillar, Chile) Youth Orchestra of the Americas, (Caribbean Tour), the Napa Valley Orchestra Institute (California, USA), and Staff Violist at the Masterworks Festival (Indiana, USA). She has had the pleasure of working under the batons of Martin West, Mariss Jansons, Mario Venzago, Carl Topilow, Robert Page, Miriam Burns, Sir Roger Norrington, and Leon Fleisher. Ms. Gamble enjoys new music and has commissioned several works of upcoming composers. She won the Pittsburgh Concert Society Major Auditions, was a finalist at the Lennox International Young Artist String Competition, and was invited to perform at the 2014 Primrose International Viola Competition.
Ms. Gamble graduated from Geneva College at the age of 20 as an Alpha Chi honors student, and received two graduate degrees from Carnegie Mellon University as a full scholarship recipient. She also studied as a Temerty Fellow at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in the Artist Diploma program in Toronto, Canada.
